Puppy Application
IMPORTANT ~ Puppies will jump on you, knock down young children, will bite and chew during teething, can grab clothing and possibly harm young children unintentionally and should NEVER be left alone with small children. All interaction with children throughout the puppy’s life should be closely supervised and under no circumstances should small children or toddlers be allowed to sit on, roll on, or ride a dog.
Puppies must be taught acceptable behavior through proper training which is done with appropriate discipline, love and understanding, not force. This can easily be accomplished through puppy training classes or individual instruction. All puppies are required to attend at least one formal “manners” or beginning obedience training class session, and further ongoing obedience training is strongly recommended, especially when puberty starts, usually around 10-14 months of age.
